Graduation ceremonies 2024: A new generation of #MadeInLCI talent
Graduation ceremonies 2024: A new generation of #MadeInLCI talent
Emotion, pride, and joy. Three words to summarize what we experienced last Thursday, July 18, during the graduation ceremonies for the class of 2024, which we celebrated in the Oriol Martorell hall of L'Auditori, just a few steps from our new campus.
In the morning, it was the turn of the new graduates of master's degrees, postgraduate degrees, and Pattern Making programs, while in the afternoon session, the protagonists were the graduates of bachelor's degrees and higher diplomas. All of them were accompanied on such a special day by family, friends, faculty, and School staff.
Our General Director Sílvia Viudas and Academic Director Miljana Micovic inaugurated both events by congratulating the graduates on all their achievements and encouraging them to become ambassadors of LCI. Faculty member Alan Ramírez, winner of the 2024 Teaching Excellence Award, and alumni Andrea Coloma, Senior Fashion Designer at Mango and commencement speaker, also took to the stage to share inspiring words with the attendees.
We also heard from a representation of graduates who spoke on behalf of themselves and their classmates: Alejandro Valadés (Industrial Pattern Making), Mariam Alia Cheaitelly (Design of Footwear, Bags, and Leather Goods Collections), Amal Cheddadi (Fashion Business Management and Administration), Sofía Dávila (Concept Art), Gonzalo Medina (Fashion Design), Josep Lluís Pérez Azaña and Laura Celebrovsky (Video Game Design), Carlos Izquierdo (Graphic Design), Nadhia Nizarala (Photography), Carmen Carolina Torres (Animation), and Manel Fors (Interior Design).
The graduation of this new generation of #MadeInLCI professionals would not have been possible without the dedication and tireless work of our faculty, with Area Managers Estel Vilaseca, Anna Pallerols, Pedro Coelho, David Carretero, and Salvatore Elefante leading the way. The faculty members were also protagonists of the day with speeches from Salvatore himself (representing the Photography Department), Josep Ribas (Interior Design), David Carretero on behalf of Susana Martín (Animation), David Gómez (Video Games), Óliver Montiel (Graphic Design), and Aida Giménez (Fashion).
Congratulations to the graduates of the class of 2024 and to their faculty, family, and friends. As we did at the end of the two events, we toast to all of you and wish you a future full of success. We hope you feel proud to be part of LCI Barcelona and LCI Education. The school's doors will always be open for you. This will always be your home. Congratulations!
