New innovative campuses for LaSalle College Vancouver & LCI Barcelona
Montreal, Monday, July 26, 2021- As part of its long-term strategy to become to become one of the largest internationally renowned private educational institutions, recognized for its innovation, efficiency, and results, the LCI Education Network is excited to announce that two of its 23 campuses are moving to ground-breaking, high-tech and modern spaces.
LaSalle College Vancouver will be moving into a new purpose-built education centre that puts technology, active learning, and social engagement at the forefront. This innovative space is set to open in the summer of 2023.
The seven-story space will infuse architecture, technology and art to create a future focused learning environment. The new site will be one of the best learning environments in North America and is Fitwel and Rick Hansen Gold certified, making it a health first campus. Physical activity and meditation spaces will be made available, healthy food options will be the norm and the grounds are accessible to people of differing abilities. This state-of-the-art space will also house modern culinary kitchens, a gaming lounge, and even a suspended theatre that will service as a multi-purpose space.
LCI Barcelona has also acquired a new high-tech site. LCI has purchased land between Àlaba and Sancho de Ávila streets, near the Barcelona Design Museum Museu del Disseny, creative studios and other prestigious intuitions. This area of Barcelona is considered as the district of innovation, creativity, design and technology. More than 1,500 companies and start-ups linked to media, ICT, energy, digital transformation, design and scientific research are concentrated in this part of the city, which will only help our learners for future opportunities upon graduation.
This state-of-the-art building will also be completed at the end of 2023, and ready to be used for the 2024 winter session. This campus, located in the heart of the city of Barcelona, will specialize in design, audiovisual arts and creative industries management, which will attract some 2,000 students a year to this very special city.
Ultimately offering an experience of a lifetime, these campuses will serve as a place for learners to hone their skills and graduate primed and ready to find a job and will provide LCI Education’s colleagues a beautiful and innovative workspace.
